The state cross country meet takes place this Saturday at the steeplechase course in Percy Warner Park.
Race times are:
Division II Class A Girls - 10:00 A.M. CDT
Division II Class A Boys - 10:45 A.M. CDT
Division II Class AA Girls - 11:30 A.M. CDT
Division II Class AA Boys - 12:15 P.M. CDT
Class AAA Girls - 1:00 P.M. CDT
Class AAA Boys - 1:45 P.M. CDT
Class A-AA Girls - 2:30 P.M. CDT
Class A-AA Boys - 3:15 P.M. CDT
Several local schools are participating and are favored to win their respective divisions. The full list of qualifying teams can be found on the TSSAA website.
Admission this year is $10 (the price is set by TSSAA, so direct any complaints their way).

The buzz at the meet seems to be that he was recently in a car accident and was told not to run for a short period of time.
He was in fact at the meet this afternoon

Yeah, I saw him there. But when the race started, he was nowhere to be seen. Sounds pretty whack to me.

He was in a car wreck, hurt his back and wanted to wait to run until Nationals. I as well was looking forward to see him run again. Oh, well, got to see lots of great runners, even the girl from Knoxville run a 17:47, girl power! |
