Hi! I live in Homer,Alaska and am moving to Nashville Dec 27th. I'll be living near Percy Warner park and working at Vanderbilt.  Looking for running groups in both areas for weekend runs. I love trail running and long distance. Let me know if you have something coordinated- would love to connect.  Will certainly miss my running buddies up here but excited to see you have such an active group.

Work at Vandy, live near PWP myself. Loads of GREAT running there. And Loads of folks run there all the time.

What kind of pace/distance do you like to run?

There is a hilly 11.2 mile loop that I run (as do many others) all the time. I usually hit that loop 1-3 times per week.

Some pics from the park.

We'd love you to join us, any time!

Hey, thanks! I'll send you another note when I get to town.  Can't wait. Love 1/2 marathon distances. My recent time for the Kenai 1/2 was 1:43. For shorter distances 6:45-7:15 min miles. It'll be interesting to see what happens when I experience the heat.

I'll be at Monroe Carell Children's Hospital starting Jan 4. See you soon. -Julie

Welcome, you will find a fairly active running community here with many races and organized training runs.  As far as trail running, Percy Warner does have several miles of hiking trails that many people run on and even a few shorter trails in Edwin Warner park.
